Repeating groups and image blocks

A few people asked for a way to collect a variable number of similar things on one form — a parent registering multiple children, an RSVP with a headcount and a name/meal choice per guest. That’s live now as a repeating group: pick a number field elsewhere on your form (like “Number of children”), attach a repeating group to it, and design the fields you want repeated once per unit. Fill in “3” and you get three copies of that block, numbered.

Alongside that, forms can now carry layout content that isn’t a question at all:

  • Section dividers — a plain line to break up a long form.
  • Description text — a paragraph of context between fields, for when a question needs explaining.
  • Images — a logo or illustration shown to everyone who fills in your form.

That last one is a small but real change to how TinyForm handles files. Every other file on TinyForm — the ones people upload to your form — is emailed to you and never stored. An image you add to your form’s own design is different: it has to stick around for as long as the form does, so those are stored. The privacy page has the details.

Small stuff, but it adds up. More soon.
